Caramel Topping

  1. Light brown sugar, packed   -  1/2 cup
  2. Butter- 1/4 cup
  3. Vanilla - 1tsp

  • Combine brown sugar and butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat; bring to boil.
  • Reduce heat to a simmer.
  • Continue cooking and stirring for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
