Beetroot Thoran



INGREDIENTS:
  • Grated beetroot - 1 (medium size)
  • Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Onion , chopped - 1 no
  • Green chilies, sliced - 2 nos
  • Ginger, chopped - 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 string
  • Coconut oil - 1 tsp
  • Dried red chilies - 2 nos
METHOD:

  • Heat oil in. a pan
  • Splutter mustard seeds,and add dried red chilies, onion, green chilies, ginger and curry leaves. Saute it well.
  • Add black pepper powder,turmeric and salt.
  • Add grated beetroot, grated coconut and little water.
  • Cook over a low flame.
  • Serve it with rice.
