Prawn Thoran



INGREDIENTS:
  • Prawns  - 1 lb
  • Onion -  1 medium sized, sliced
  • Ginger-garlic Paste -  1 Tbsp
  • Green chilies - 2 sliced
  • Coriander leaves - 3 tsp, chopped
  • Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
  • Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Garam masala/Meat masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - As required
  • Salt - To taste
Marinade
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Pepper powder -  1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • Salt - To taste
METHOD:
  • Marinate the prawns using the ingredients under marinade.
  • Now  crush the coconut with Chili powder,Turmeric powder,and  Garam masala/Meat masala.Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan. 
  • Add the sliced onion,sliced green chilies, little salt and ginger-garlic paste. 
  • Saute until the onions are slightly browned.
  • Then add the marinated prawns and mix well.
  • Cover and cook until the prawns are done, at medium-low heat.
  • Garnish prawn thoran with chopped coriander leaves.
