INGREDIENTS:
- Prawns - 1 lb
- Onion - 1 medium sized, sliced
- Ginger-garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp
- Green chilies - 2 sliced
- Coriander leaves - 3 tsp, chopped
- Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
- Chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
- Garam masala/Meat masala - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - As required
- Salt - To taste
Marinade
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Salt - To taste
METHOD:
- Marinate the prawns using the ingredients under marinade.
- Now crush the coconut with Chili powder,Turmeric powder,and Garam masala/Meat masala.Keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a deep pan.
- Add the sliced onion,sliced green chilies, little salt and ginger-garlic paste.
- Saute until the onions are slightly browned.
- Then add the marinated prawns and mix well.
- Cover and cook until the prawns are done, at medium-low heat.
- Garnish prawn thoran with chopped coriander leaves.
