Naan



INGREDIENTS:
  • All-purpose flour-2 cups
  • Luke warm water-3/4 cup
  • Yeast-1tsp
  • Oil-2 Tbsp
  • Natural yogurt-2 Tbsp
  • Salt-1tsp
  • Sugar-1tsp
  • Baking powder-1/4 tsp
METHOD:
  • Mix yeast with warm water in a bowl and set aside. 
  • Sift flour and add salt, sugar and baking powder and mix together. 
  • Add yogurt and mix together, then add the yeast mixture and mix well. 
  • Form into a dough, by kneading on a floured surface.

  • Place dough back into bowl, and proof in a warm place. Drizzle some oil on top of the dough and cover with a cloth, for 4 hours or until dough rises well. 
  • Take the dough out and punch down the dough and mix well.Oil your hands well before that. Take some oil and flour in separate bowls. 
  • Oil your hands well, take a ball of dough and make a smooth ball. Divide the dough into 6 or 8 equal pieces.  
  • Dust the work station with flour and put the dough and press it down with your palm. 
  • Make a small round disc shape with the dough, you can either toss it between both palms or roll it. 
  • Heat a pan to the highest , once it's hot bring the heat down a little bit and grease the pan with  oil/butter.
  • Let cook for a minute and  flip over. Now also you can apply little butter in pan.
  • Continue the same process with rest of the dough.
