Apple Fritters Apple Porichathu

INGREDIENTS:
  • All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
  • Apple (peeled and chopped) - 1 no
  • Sugar - 4Tbsp
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Melted butter (optional)- 1 Tbsp
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Egg - 1 no
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Water - As reqd
  • Oil for frying 
  • Powdered sugar for garnishing (optional)
METHOD:

  • In a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, butter, cinnamon, and salt. 
  • In a separate bowl, beat together eggs and milk. Stir milk mixture into flour mixture until smooth.
  • Make a smooth batter with ingredients in both bowls and keep it aside for 10 mins. Batter should not be too thin.


  • Heat oil in a pan and pour a spoonful of batter into it.
  • Deep fry till golden brown color.
  • Using a slotted spoon, transfer to paper towels to drain.
