Apple Fritters Apple Porichathu
INGREDIENTS:
- All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
- Apple (peeled and chopped) - 1 no
- Sugar - 4Tbsp
- Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Melted butter (optional)- 1 Tbsp
- Cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Egg - 1 no
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Water - As reqd
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for garnishing (optional)
METHOD:
- In a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, butter, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat together eggs and milk. Stir milk mixture into flour mixture until smooth.
- Make a smooth batter with ingredients in both bowls and keep it aside for 10 mins. Batter should not be too thin.
- Heat oil in a pan and pour a spoonful of batter into it.
- Deep fry till golden brown color.
- Using a slotted spoon, transfer to paper towels to drain.
