- Milk – 2 cups
- Water – 1 cups
- Rice – 1 cup (I used broken red rice)
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Cardamom – 2,3 pods crushed
- Cashew nuts – 8 (fried in ghee)
- Raisins - 8 (fried in ghee)
- Ghee - 2 tsp
METHOD:
- Wash and cook the rice in a pressure cooker by adding 2 cups of water.
- When the rice is well cooked add milk , sugar, cardamom and 1 tsp of ghee into it and stir well.
- Allow milk to boil.
- The Payasam is ready. Before serving garnish the rice kheer with fried cashew nuts and raisins.
