INGREDIENTS:
- Coriander leaves - 3 or 4 strands
- Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
- Split channa dal (Kadalaparippu) -2 Tbsp
- Green chillies - 3 nos
- Garlic cloves - 2 small
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Tamarind extract/Lime juice - 1/4 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Dried Red Chillies - 2
- Shallots (sliced thinly) - 5nos
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Grind all the ingredients together except Oil, mustard seeds, 3 sliced shallot, and dried red chillies, into a fine paste.
- Transfer it into a bowl.
- Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter,throw dried red chillies and remaining sliced shallots.
- Fry it until shallots turn brown.
- Switch off the heat and pour the seasoning over the ground paste.
- Mix well and serve.
