This is a delicious blend of traditional kappa / tapioca / yuca with Choora meen curry (Tuna fish curry). Kappa and Fish Curry is a popular food of Kerala. Rice, coconut, Jackfruit (Chakka) and Tapioca (kappa) are the staple food of malayalees. The traditional taste of Kappa and Meen Curry is still preserved uncorrupted in the toddy shops in Kerala.
Cassava/Yuca/kappa is long, tubular shaped root with a flaky, brown skin. The root itself does not have a lot of flavor, similar to a potato, but sweeter. It has an excellent source of Vitamin C and Manganese.
