INGREDIENTS :
- Tune Fish, cleaned and cut to medium sized pieces – 10 nos
- Tomato,small – 1 no, chopped
- Kudampuli – 2 medium sized pieces
- Ginger – 1” piece, crushed
- Garlic pods – 1 cloves, crushed
- Coconut oil – 2 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/8 sp
- Onion, chopped – 1/2 cup
- Red Chilly powder – 1 tbsp
- Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
- Fennel Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Cinnamon Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Cloves – 2 nos
- Green chillies, sliced lengthwise – 2 nos
- Chopped Coriander Leaves – 2 Tbsp
- Salt – To taste
- Red Chilly Powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/8 tsp
- Black Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
- Fenugreek Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Ginger – 1” piece, crushed
- Garlic – 1 pods, crushed
- Salt – 1/4 tsp
- Marinate Tuna fish pieces with 1 tsp of Red Chilly Powder , 1 tsp of Coriander Powder , 1/8 tsp of Turmeric Powder, 1/4 tsp of Black Pepper powder , 1/4 tsp of Fenugreek Powder , 1” piece of crushed , 1 pod crushed Garlic and 1/4 tsp of Salt . Keep it aside for 20 minutes.
- Soak the Kudampuli(Gambooge) in 1/2 cup of water.
- Now place 1 tsp of Red chilly powder, 1/2 of coriander powder, 1/4 tsp of Fennel Powder, 1/4 tsp of Cinnamon Powder, 2 cloves Cloves in a mixing bowl and mix it well with 2 tsp of water and keep it aside.
- Heat 1 tsp of oil in medium sized pan, splutter mustard seeds in it. Traditionally meen curry/Fish Curry is prepared in a meen chatti (clay pot) but it can be cooked in any vessel.
- Add chopped onion, sauté well and add sliced Green chillies ginger, garlic and cook till onion become translucent.
- Now add chopped tomatoes.
- Add Kudampuli(Gambooge) water to the pan and allow it to boil well.
- Now add the Masala paste to the pan and mix well.
- Now add the marinated Tuna fish fish to the pan, add salt. Mix well carefully by adding 1 cup of water.
- Mix everything well, cover the pan with a lid and cook in medium heat for 20 – 25 minutes.
- Adjust gravy consistency according to your needs by adding water.
- Garnish the yummy Tuna fish curry/Choora Meen curry with chopped coriander leaves or curry leaves.
- Serve This Fish curry hot with Kappa Puzhukku and Rice.
