- All purpose flour – 2 and 1/2 cups
- Baking powder – 2 and 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Butter – 2/3 cup
- Sugar – 1 and 1/2 cups
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Eggs – 2 nos
- Milk – 1 and 1/4 cups
METHOD:
- Grease two 8 inch square or round baking pans with some butter or oil and lightly flour them.
- Preheat oven in 375 degree F.
- In a large bowl sift together all purpose flour, baking powder and salt. Keep it aside.
- In an electric mixer, beat butter on medium to high speed for 30 seconds.
- Add sugar and vanilla essence in it and beat until mix everything well.
- Now add egg, 1 at a time and beating one minute after each.
- Add flour-baking powder mixture to the electric mixer and mix everything well.
- Add milk alternately to the beaten mixture , beat on low speed until everything well combined.
- Pour cake batter to greased pans.
- Bake your cake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until the top turns golden brown and a tooth pick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove it from the Oven.
- Allow the cake cool completely ( 20 minutes) before cutting and serving.
- Remove your delicious yellow cake from pan.
