INGREDIENTS
- All purpose flour – 1 cup
- Oats – 1 cup
- Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
- Sugar – 3 or 4 Tbsp ( you can use brown sugar also)
- Milk – 1/4 cup
- Warm water – 1/4 cup
- Oil – 3 Tbsp
METHOD:
- Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
- Line a large rectangular baking tray with parchment paper. Keep it aside.
- Place all purpose flour , oats, baking powder, and sugar in a large mixing bowl and mix well.
- Make a well in the center of dry ingredients add milk and mix well. While mixing,apply little oil in your hand to prevent sticking dough in your hand.
- Add 2, or 3 Tbsp of water if necessary . The dough must be little bit thinner than chapathi dough consistency.
- Turn out the dough onto lightly floured surface and knead 5 to 8 times.
- Roll out the dough to one inch thickness and press down firmly from the top of each rolled dough with your palm to flatten it little bit.
- Place each of them 2” apart in baking tray.
- Bake them for 20 minutes or or until the tops of the biscuits look set and are just starting to turn golden brown.
- Let your crispy oats Biscuits to cool on the baking tray for 2 or 3 minutes until they can be transferred easy to racks. If you want , you can brush top of each biscuits with butter.
- Serve Homemade Oats Biscuits with Tea or Coffee.
