Avocado Apple Smoothie

Smoothie (or smoothy) is a thick blended beverage with shake like consistency. Smoothies can be a nutritious and convenient meal replacement or refreshing snack. smoothies, normally pureed in a blender containing fruits and/or vegetables as well as an added liquid such as fruit juice, vegetable juice, milk, or even yogurt.

Homemade juices, smoothies  and milk shakes can be a great nutritional supplement for for almost any diet and keeping body in healthy.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Oats – 1/2  cup
  • Ripe avocado,  halved and pitted – 1 no
  • Apple, (Peeled, cored and chopped)– 1 no
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Fat free milk – 1 cup
  • Cardamom Powder – 1 pinch (optional)
  • Honey – 3 Tbps

  • METHOD:
    • Scoop the flesh from the avocado into a blender.
    • Add chopped apple, oats, milk, water, honey, and cardamom power in the blender.
    • Blend until creamy and smooth. Serve immediately. If  you want, chill in refrigerator  then pour into glasses and enjoy.

    If you prefer the smoothie thinner, add milk until you're satisfied with the consistency.

    The avocado, also known as butter pear or alligator pear, is a fruit that is widely acknowledged to have properties that reduce cholesterol levels in the body. Avocados provide nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fiber, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid.

    Tip:
    To ripen avocados more quickly, place them in a sealed paper bag with an apple or a banana for 24 hours.
