Homemade juices, smoothies  and milk shakes can be a great nutritional supplement for for almost any diet and keeping body in healthy.

Spinach juice contains an abundant amount of vitamin C, vitamin A (one of the most important nutrients directly related to healthy skin, nails, and hair), and vitamin E, all of which have proven to act as preventive agents against ailments affecting the cardiovascular system.

INGREDIENTS:
  1. Spinach – 2 cups
  2. Ripe  Jamaican banana – 1 no
  3. Fat free Milk – 1 cup
  4. Yogurt – 2 Tbsp
  5. Peanut Butter – 2 Tbsp

METHOD:
  • To clean spinach, swish in a basin of cold water, let  it sit for a minute, and then lift into a colander to drain. Dump the water and repeat. After doing this, taste a leaf. If you detect even the slightest bit of grit, wash the leaves again.
  • If you want, you can boil the milk and allow it to cool.
  • Now place all the 1 to 5  ingredients in a blender /juicer and blend on high until creamy and smooth.
  • Chill in refrigerator or pour into glasses and enjoy.
NOTE:
  • If you don’t like the taste of peanut butter, you can use 2 tbps of honey.
  • You can use 1 Tbsp of peanut butter and 1 tbsp of honey instead of using 2 tbsp of peanut butter or honey.

TIPS :
  • Choose Spinach leaves that has crisp, green leaves. It should appear as if it were just picked, firm, and un-wilted. The larger Spinach  leaves are more mature and more likely to be tough or stringy.
  • Spinach leaves that are placed under direct light in the stores have been found to contain more nutrients than those stored in darkness.
  • Freezing spinach diminishes its health benefits.
  • Health  benefits of Spinach leaves increases when it is cooked. Just half a cup of cooked spinach will give you thrice as much nutrition as one cup of raw spinach.

ചേരുവകകൾ
  1. പച്ച ചീര – 2  cups
  2. നന്നായി പഴുത്ത പഴം – 1
  3. തിളപ്പിച്ചാറ്റിയ പാൽ - 1 കപ്പ്‌
  4. തൈര് – 2 Tbsp
  5. പീനട്ട് ബട്ടർ – 2  Tbsp ( ഇതിനു പകരമായി തേൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കാം)

തയ്യാറാക്കുന്ന വിധം
  • ചീര തണുത്ത ശുദ്ധ ജലത്തിൽ 3, 4 തവണ കഴുകുക.
  • 1 മുതൽ 5 വരെയുള്ള ചേരുവകകൾ  ചേർത്ത് മിക്സിയിൽ അടിച്ചെടുക്കുക.
  • ഫ്രിഡ്ജ്‌ ൽ വച്ച് തണുപ്പിച്ചോ അല്ലാതെയോ ഗ്ലാസ്സ് കളിലേക്ക്  വിളമ്പി ഉപയോഗിക്കാം
