Perler Beads Photo Frame

Make your own Perler beads photo frames  in just a few steps.

Materials needed:

• Perler beads
• Cardstock papers
• Scissor
• Glue

METHOD

• Cut out  an 8 * 8 square from a white cardstock.
• Glue your photo on the cardstock, leave 1 or 2 inch white space in all sides ( photo size 6*6 inch)

• Glue  two different colors of Perler beads in the 4 sides of the cardstock as shown in the picture.
• Create 4 small same color or different colors six petal Perler bead flowers.
• Adhere one flower on each corner of the frame using glue.
• You can hang your Perler Beads Framed photos in your wall using adhesive strips.

• Otherwise, place a ½-inch nail in the hole of the middle Perler Bead from the top and tap with a hammer to the nail to fix it in the wall. Be carefully to tap only the nail and not the Perler Beads.
• If you like to place your photo in your table, Just make a frame back.
• To make the frame back, cut a square of cardstock a little smaller than the frame. Cut a  piece of cardstock, approximately 5″ long and 3″ tall. Fold it into 3 equal parts and adhere 2 halves together using glue. Glue the other  half to the square frame.  This is the frame stand. Trim bottom of stand slightly so frame sits at a slight angle backwards.

Pistachio shell Blooms

I am sharing  something cute and easy to make for all who love pistachios.

Empty Pistachio shells are one of the natural items that can easily be recycled into something more beautiful and useful.

Materials Needed:

• Pista Shells / Pistachio shells
• Thick Cardboard box without lid or thick Cardboard box lid  ( Square or rectangle shape) I used a 20 X 13 X 3 inch, thick  rectangular cardboard box as a base for this craft.
• Desired color  acrylic paints or Permanent markers. (Don't use temporary colors as they will wash out) . You can also use nail polish to color the shells.
• Brown, green, yellow red and purple cardstock papers.
• Butter fly paper punch (optional)
• White or other color round beads OR Perler Beads ( for flower center)
• Graft glue
• Craft scissor

Work In Progress:

For making unique crafts, rinse pistachio shells clean, drain and dry. Either paint them with desired colors acrylic paint or apply glitter glue before gluing them together.

Craft ideas for Pista shells include Christmas tree ornaments, Handmade Jewelry, Homemade Potpourri,  Mosaics, Noisemakers, and rattles. You can decorate food-safe bowls and Flower vases using Pistachio shells.

This is a combination of Pistachio shells craft and basic paper quilling. 

Pistachio flowers and wall hangings are best unique gifts for family and friends.

Research indicates that pistachio shells may be helpful in cleaning up pollution created by mercury emissions.

Chicken Patties / Chicken Cutlets

 

Homemade spicy and yummy Chicken patties recipe is here :

INGREDIENTS:

• Chicken breasts – 3 nos., cooked and minced
• Maida / All purpose flour – 1/2 cup
• Beaten egg – 1
• Potato, large  – 1 no
• Onion , finely chopped – 1, medium
• Bell pepper , finely chopped – 1/4
• Ginger – 2 inch piece
• Garlic – 3 pods
• Italian Style Bread Crumbs – 1 cup 
• Dried red chilli flakes – 1 and 1/2 tsp.
• Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp.
• Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp.
• Garam masala – 1/2 tsp.
• Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp.
• Salt – to taste
• Olive oil  for shallow fry or deep fry

METHOD:

Wash well  and cut the chicken breasts to small pieces.

Clean them well. Drain the water completely.

Place the chicken pieces in a pressure cooker and add 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. black pepper powder and 1 cup water. Mix everything well. Pressure cook it for 3 whistles. Allow them to cool down. Drain excess water (chicken broth). You can reserve that chicken broth to make soup.

Now crumble the cooked and drained chicken with your fingers. Otherwise run the chicken pieces in a food processor or mixie for few seconds till it appears like crumbs. Do not over process. Empty in to a large bowl.

Wash well and peel the potato.

Pressure cook the potato by adding water until tender, allow it to cool and mash well.

Grind well ginger and garlic to get a fine paste. Keep it aside.

Heat 1 tsp. olive oil in a pan. When oil is hot, add chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, ginger garlic paste and sauté for 3 minutes on medium heat.

To this add dried red chilli flakes, coriander powder, Garam masala, cumin powder,  and 1/4 tsp. black pepper powder, salt, mix everything well and sauté for 2 minutes and remove  pan from the heat.

In a large bowl combine cooked and minced chicken, mashed potato, and sautéed onion masala mixture . Mix everything well with a spatula or clean hand.

Add 1/2 cup Maida / All purpose flour, 1/2 cup Italian Style Bread Crumbs and half of the beaten eggs to the bowl and mix well. Check for the salt.

Mix well the Chicken Patties mixture / Chicken Cutlets mixture  and divide them into equal sized balls.

• Spread 1/2 cup Italian Style Bread Crumbs on a plate.
• Flatten each chicken ball onto discs or oval shapes.
• Now brush each Chicken Patties discs with beaten egg and immediately coat the Chicken Patties disc with bread crumbs generously. Repeat the same for all the Chicken Patties discs.

• Arrange all the bread crumbs coated Chicken Patties discs / Chicken Cutlets discs in a large plate and refrigerate for 1 hour.
• Heat enough oil in a pan for deep fry or shallow fry on medium heat and carefully place each Chicken Patties discs / Chicken Cutlets discs into the hot oil.
• Fry each Chicken Patties till both sides become golden brown color.
• Serve hot with tomato sauce or coriander chutney.
• Otherwise prepare a burger by toasting the sliced bun, spread low fat butter and layer with lettuce leaves, onion, cucumber and tomato slices, followed by a cheese slice and the Chicken Patties / Chicken Cutlets.

NOTE :

Actually It was just an experimental  cooking, but it comes out great. It is really yummy, me and my husband really like it very much. If you need,  adjust seasoning and add or remove ingredients to suit personal taste. You can use 2, 3 thinly chopped green chilles instead of Dried red chilli flakes.

Two Panel Patio Curtain

I made this Two  Panel curtain for Our Apartment patio.

Curtains are one of the easiest ways to give a room a face-lift. They have the power to instantly brighten or soften a room.

In the joining part of two color clothes,  I sewed a pretty copper color, glittered, brownish sheer organza Ribbon with golden yellow color thread. The ribbon swirls are gold flocked with glitter.

These curtains are a great beginner project because each curtain has only five straight lines of sewing . For two custom curtain panels, you can sew ten straight lines.  They don’t even have to be that straight.  And because they are sewn, they should last longer than curtains made exclusively with fusible hem tape.
