- Grated coconut - 1 cup
- Coconut oil - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 14 tsp
- Onion - 8
- Tamarind - a small gooseberry size
- Green chilly - 6
- Salt - adjust to taste
- Chopped ginger - 1" piece
- Curry leaves - 5 nos
METHOD:
- Grind grated coconut, onion and green chilly, chopped ginger,tamarind and salt together.
- Mix this with a little water.
- Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter in it.
- Now pour the ground mixture into that pan.
- Allow chutney to cook for 1 or 2 minutes.
- Don't allow this to boil and take back.
- Serve hot with Idli or Dosa.
