Spicy Chicken Masala

Today I am sharing one of the very simple and easy chicken recipe, Spicy Chicken Masala. ഇതിന്റെ മലയാളം റെസിപ്പി കാണാൻ  ചിക്കൻ വരട്ടിയത് നോക്കുക

Spicy Chicken Masala (6)
INGREDIENTS:
  • Chicken Breast, Skinless – 1, cleaned, cut into large-medium sized  pieces (6, 7 pieces )
  • Tomato – 1, cubed
  • Big Onion- 1, thinly sliced
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp.
  • Oil – 3 tsp.
  • Pepper powder- 1 tsp. (freshly ground)
  • Chopped coriander leaves- 2 Tbsp. (for garnish)

To Marinate:
    • Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp.
    • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp.
    • Fennel powder - 1/4 tsp. 
    • Curd - 2 tsp.
    • Salt - as required

METHOD:
  • Marinate  the  chicken pieces with curd, chili powder, Fennel powder,  turmeric powder,and salt. Keep it aside  for around 30 minutes.
  • Heat 2 tbs. oil in a non-stick pan and add the chopped onion and sauté till they turn translucent. Add the chopped tomato and saute till the tomato is mushy. Along with this add the ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  • To this, add the marinated chicken and give a gentle mix. No need to add water to the pan. The chicken leaves out enough water. So you can cover cook on low flame  for 15 minutes or till the chicken pieces are soft. It is important, keep an eye on it to prevent it burning. If necessary add 1 or 2 tbsp. water.

Spicy Chicken Masala (2)
  • Once the chicken is almost done and absorbs the water completely, sprinkle the pepper powder and add a teaspoon of oil. Mix everything well and cook for 3 more minutes. 
  • Your Spicy dry chicken masala is ready!!! Transfer chicken masala to a serving dish.
  • Garnish your tasty Chicken Masala with Chopped coriander leaves and Onion rings. Serve it hot with chapatti, Naan,parotta or rice.
