Sponge Cake


 INGREDIENTS:
  • Eggs - 3 nos
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • All purpose flour(maida) - 1 cup
  • Warm milk - 4 Tbsp
  • Baking powder - 1tsp
  • Vanilla extract - 1 Tbsp
  • Butter - For greasing the pan
  • Caramel Topping - 1 tsp
METHOD:
  • Preheat the oven to 360 degree F. 
  • In a mixing bowl, add Eggs and beat well using a hand mixer.
  • Add Sugar and beat together for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Add 4Tbsp milk and mix well.
  • Add All purpose flour and Baking powder. Just make the flour to mix with the other ingredients.
  • Finally add the Vanilla extract and mix again.
  • Grease the baking pan and its sides with Butter.
  • Pour the Cake Batter to the baking pan.
  • Now place the baking pan in the oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until the tooth pick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Allow it to cool in pan for 20 minutes.
  • Invert cake onto cooling rack to cool completely before applying frosting or decorating.
  • Apply Caramel Topping on the top of the cake.

  • Start on the side and apply a 1/4-inch-thick layer of icing, a little at a time and complete the circle.If you like, you can make beautiful designs on the top and sides of the cake with icing.
  • Slice the cake in desired shape and serve.
