- Green Peas - 1cup ( I used frozen peas, can also use fresh peas)
- Onion (chopped) - 1no (medium)
- Tomato (chopped) - 1 no
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
- Red chillies powder - 1/2 tsp (acc to taste)
- Salt to taste
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Meat masala powder - 1/4 tsp
- Coconut milk - 1/4 cup
- Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tbsp
- Oil/Butter/ Ghee - 2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
- Green chillies (sliced) - 2(acc to taste)
- Giner (chopped) - 1" piece
METHOD:
- Heat oil/butter/ghee in a pan and splutter mustard seeds in it and add cumin powder, green chillies and chopped ginger and saute for a minute.
- Now add onion, stir it till it becomes transparent.
- Add chopped tomato to it and mix it well.
- Add a cup of water, turmeric powder, garam masala powder,meat masala powder salt and red chilli powder and let it boil for another 5 minutes.
- Now add the green peas to it and mix it well and let everything cook for 10 minutes. Depending upon how long peas takes to cook. Frozen peas took 7 minutes to fully cook and mix with the other ingredients.
- Now add the coconut milk and let it mix for another 2 minutes.
- Turn off the stove and garnish Green Peas Masala with coriander leaves.
- You can serve it hot with Chapathi, Poori, Naan or Appam.
