It is very easy project. Kids love it.
Materials Needed:
- Paper plates
- Different colors of yarn
- Scissor
- Markers or crayons
METHOID:
Cut an odd number of small slits around the outside of a paper plate. Make sure that there is an odd number, or else it will not work out right.
- Take about 12 inches long yarn and glue or place a piece of cello tape its tail on the back of the plate.
- Pull the yarn through to the front and get ready to weave.
- Begin weaving in the center of the plate by going over, under, over, under, and so on.
- Tie the end of the first piece of yarn with another color yarn and start weaving.
- Then begin with a new color of yarn by stuffing and tucking it under the previous color, then weave as before.
- You can use as much as colors of yarns and make a beautiful patterns.
Cut the edges of a paper plate into points so the plate looks like a flower or a sun.
