Here is the recipe of super soft Wheat flour Chocolate cake from scratch.
INGREDIENTS:
- Granulated white Sugar - 2 cups (400 grams)
- Wheat flour - 1 and 3/4 cups (245 grams) (If you want, you can use All purpose flour instead of wheat flour)
- Unsweetened cocoa powder (natural or Dutch-processed) - 3/4 cup (75 grams)
- Baking powder - 1 and 1/2 teaspoons
- Baking soda - 1 and 1/2 teaspoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Large eggs – 2 nos.
- Warm water - 1/2 cup
- Milk - 1 cup (240 ml)
- Corn oil , vegetable oil , sunflower oil or canola oil - 1/2 cup (120 ml) [I used canola oil]
- Pure Vanilla extract - 1 and 1/2 teaspoons
METHOD:
Step 1 : Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180degree C) and place oven rack in the center of the oven. Butter two - 9 inch (23 cm) round cake pans or one 9-inch square cake pan . Then line the bottoms of the pans with parchment paper. Keep it aside.
Step 2 : In a large bowl whisk together the sugar, flour,cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3 : In another large bowl, whisk together the eggs, water, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir, or whisk, until combined. Pour batter to the prepared pan and bake for about 30-32 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Step 4 : Remove your delicious cake from oven and let cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Then remove the cakes from their pans and cool completely on a greased wire rack before frosting.
