Home made juices, smoothies and milk shakes can be a great nutritional supplement for for almost any diet and keeping body in healthy.
INGREDINETS:
- Spinach – 1 cups
- Ripe Jamaican banana – 1 no
- Apple, (Peeled, cored and chopped)– 1 no
- Celery stalk – 1 no
- Oats – 1 cup
- Fat free Milk – 1 cup
- Yogurt – 2 Tbsp
- Peanut Butter – 2 Tbsp
- Cardamom Powder – 1 pinch (optional)
- Honey – 1 or 2 Tbps
- Water – 1 cup
METHOD:
- To clean spinach, swish in a basin of cold water, let it sit for a minute, and then lift into a colander to drain. Dump the water and repeat. After doing this, taste a leaf. If you detect even the slightest bit of grit, wash the leaves again.
- If you want, you can boil the milk and allow it to cool.
- If you want, you can cook oats by adding 2 cups of water in a small pot for a minute or two, stirring often until it becomes thick and bubbly.
- Remove from heat and allow them it to cool.
- Now place all the 1 to 11 ingredients in a blender /juicer and blend on high until creamy and smooth.
- Chill in refrigerator or pour into glasses and enjoy.
NOTE:
- If you don’t like the taste of peanut butter, you can use 2 tbps of honey.
- You can use 1 Tbsp of peanut butter and 1 tbsp of honey instead of using 2 tbsp of peanut butter or honey.
