Spinach Apple Banana Milk Shake

Home made juices, smoothies  and milk shakes can be a great nutritional supplement for for almost any diet and keeping body in healthy.

INGREDINETS:

  1. Spinach – 1 cups
  2. Ripe  Jamaican banana – 1 no
  3. Apple, (Peeled, cored and chopped)– 1 no
  4. Celery stalk – 1 no
  5. Oats – 1 cup
  6. Fat free Milk – 1 cup
  7. Yogurt – 2 Tbsp
  8. Peanut Butter – 2 Tbsp
  9. Cardamom Powder – 1 pinch (optional)
  10. Honey – 1 or 2 Tbps
  11. Water – 1 cup

METHOD:

  • To clean spinach, swish in a basin of cold water, let  it sit for a minute, and then lift into a colander to drain. Dump the water and repeat. After doing this, taste a leaf. If you detect even the slightest bit of grit, wash the leaves again.
  • If you want, you can boil the milk and allow it to cool.
  • If you want, you can cook oats by adding 2 cups of water in a small pot for a minute or two, stirring often until it becomes thick and bubbly.
  • Remove from heat and allow them it to cool.
  • Now place all the 1 to 11  ingredients in a blender /juicer and blend on high until creamy and smooth.
  • Chill in refrigerator or pour into glasses and enjoy.

NOTE:

  • If you don’t like the taste of peanut butter, you can use 2 tbps of honey.
  • You can use 1 Tbsp of peanut butter and 1 tbsp of honey instead of using 2 tbsp of peanut butter or honey.
