Quilled Paper Flowers

One of my Flower Quilling Tutorial , published in a Malayalam-language weekly, Mangalam on  February 1st, 2016 (മംഗളം വാരികയില്‍ 2016 ഫെബ്രുവരി ഒന്നിന്  പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു വന്ന എന്റെ ക്രാഫ്റ്റ് - പേപ്പര്‍ ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ്  പൂക്കള്‍ )

ആവശ്യമുള്ള സാധനങ്ങൾ (ചിത്രം A)

• പച്ച നിറത്തിലുള്ള ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് പേപ്പറുകൾ
• പൂവിനായി ഇഷ്ട്ടമുള്ള 2, 3 വ്യത്യസ്ത  നിറത്തിലുള്ള  ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ്  പേപ്പറുകൾ 
• ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ്  ടൂൾ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ടൂത്ത് പിക്ക്
• പേപ്പർ ഗ്ലൂ
• വെള്ള കാർഡ്‌ സ്റ്റോക്ക്‌ പേപ്പർ -1

ഫാൻസി ഷോപ്പുകളിൽ നിന്ന് ലഭിക്കുന്ന ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ്പേപ്പറുകളോ (Quilling Papers) പത്ര മാസികകളിലെ പേപ്പർ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വിവിധ വർണ്ണങ്ങളിലുള്ള ചാർട്ട്  പേപ്പറുകളോ 3 മില്ലി മീറ്റർ അഥവാ 5 മില്ലി മീറ്റർ സ്റ്റ്രിപ്പുകളായി  മുറിച്ചു  എടുത്തു  അതിൽ നിന്ന് വേണ്ടുന്ന ഷൈപ്പുകൾ  ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുക്കാവുന്നതാണ്

 പൂവുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന വിധം

ആദ്യമായി ഏതൊക്കെ ഷെയ്പ്പുകള്‍, എങ്ങനെ ആണ് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണ്ടത് എന്ന് പറയാം.

1 . റൌണ്ട്  റ്റൈറ്റ് കോയില്‍സ്.

ഒരു  പേപ്പർ  സ്ട്രിപ്പ്  ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് ടൂളിൽ വച്ച്  റ്റൈറ്റ്  ആയി   ചുറ്റിയെടുത്തു   അറ്റം  ഗ്ലൂ  ചെയ്യുക .  ഇത്തരത്തിൽ രണ്ട് റ്റൈറ്റ്  കോയില്സ് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുക്കുക.  

2.  ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പ്

ഒരു  പേപ്പർ  സ്ട്രിപ്പ്  ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് ടൂളിൽ വച്ച് ചുറ്റിയെടുത്തു,  അല്പം ലൂസാക്കിയ ശേഷം   അറ്റം ഗ്ലൂ ചെയ്യുക. ഇതാണ് ലൂസ് കോയിൽ.  ഒരു ലൂസ് കോയിൽ എടുത്ത്,  അതിന്റെ ഒരു   അറ്റത്ത്‌ തള്ള വിരലും ചൂണ്ടു വിരലും കൊണ്ട് പിടിച്ചു ചെറുതായി ഒന്ന് അമർത്തുക. ഒരു ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പു കിട്ടും. ഇത്തരത്തിൽ പൂവിന്റെ ഇതളുണ്ടാക്കുന്നതിനായ് 10, 11 ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പുകള്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുക്കുക. 

3. കര്‍വ്ഡ്‌ ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പ്

ഇലകള്‍ക്കായി പച്ച  പേപ്പർ  സ്ട്രിപ്പ്സില്‍ നിന്ന്   ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പുകള്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ശേഷം ഓരോ  പച്ച ടീയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പിന്റെയും   മുകളറ്റം കൈ കൊണ്ട് ഷൈപ്പു ചെയ്തു ചെറുതായി വളച്ചു വയ്ക്കുക.  ഇത്തരത്തിൽ 3, 4, ഇലകൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കുക. 

4. ആരോ ഷൈപ്പ്

പൂമൊട്ടിനു വേണ്ടി ഇഷ്ട്ടമുള്ള നിറത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു ഒരു  പേപ്പർ  സ്ട്രിപ്പ്  ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പ് ഉണ്ടാക്കുക..ഈ ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പിന്റെ ചുവടു ഭാഗം ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് ടൂള്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് അകത്തേക്ക് വളച്ചു വച്ച്   ആരോ ഷൈപ്പ് ഉണ്ടാക്കാം.  

5. ഫ്രീ റൌണ്ട് റ്റൈറ്റ് കോയില്‍സ്

വള്ളി ചുരുളുകള്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതിനു വേണ്ടി ഒരു പച്ച പേപ്പര്‍ സ്ട്രിപ്പ് ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് ടൂളിൽ വച്ച് , പേപ്പറിന്റെ പകുതി - ഭാഗം  റ്റൈറ്റ്  കോയില്‍ ആയി   ചുറ്റി  പകുതിക്ക് വച്ച് തന്നെ  ഗ്ലൂ  ചെയ്യുക  ബാക്കി  ഭാഗം വെറുതെ  ഇട്ടേയ്ക്കുക. ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ രണ്ടു  ഫ്രീ റൌണ്ട്  റ്റൈറ്റ് കോയില്‍സ് ഉണ്ടാക്കുക. 

ഇനി വെള്ള കാർഡ് സ്റ്റോക്ക് പേപ്പറിൽ ഒരു പച്ച പേപ്പര്‍ സ്ട്രിപ്പ്   s ആകൃതിയിലോ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഇഷ്ട്ടപ്പെട്ട മറ്റേതെങ്കിലും രീതിയോ ഒട്ടിച്ചു വച്ച് റൌണ്ട്  റ്റൈറ്റ് കോയില്‍സ്, ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പ്, കര്‍വ്ഡ്‌ ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പ്, ആരോ ഷൈപ്പ്, ഫ്രീ റൌണ്ട് റ്റൈറ്റ് കോയില്‍സ് എന്നിവ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പൂക്കള്‍, പൂമൊട്ട്, ഇലകള്‍, വള്ളി ചുരുളുകള്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കി വെള്ള കാർഡ് സ്റ്റോക്ക് പേപ്പറിൽ ചിത്രം K, L എന്നിവയില്‍ കാണുന്നത് പോലെ ഒട്ടിച്ചു വച്ച് ഭംഗിയാക്കുക. ഇനി ഇതിനെ ഭംഗിയായി ഫ്രൈം ചെയ്തു വയ്ക്കാം.

ഈ ആഴ്ചത്തെ   മംഗളം വാരികയിൽ (ലക്കം 44, 2015  നവംബർ 02) പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു വന്ന പേപ്പർ ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് പൂക്കൾ ക്രാഫ്റ്റ്

പേപ്പർ ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് പൂക്കൾ

ആവശ്യമുള്ള സാധനങ്ങൾ (ചിത്രം A)

• പച്ച നിറത്തിലുള്ള ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് പേപ്പറുകൾ
• പൂവിനായി ഇഷ്ട്ടമുള്ള 2 വ്യത്യസ്ത നിറത്തിലുള്ള ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് പേപ്പറുകൾ (ഞാൻ മഞ്ഞ, വയലറ്റ് എന്നീ നിറങ്ങളാണ് പൂക്കൾക്കായി ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് )
• ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് ടൂൾ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ടൂത്ത് പിക്ക്
• പേപ്പർ ഗ്ലൂ
• വെള്ള കാർഡ്‌ സ്റ്റോക്ക്‌ പേപ്പർ –1

ഫാൻസി ഷോപ്പുകളിൽ നിന്ന് ലഭിക്കുന്ന  ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ്പേപ്പറുകളോ (Quilling Papers) പത്ര മാസികകളിലെ പേപ്പർ അല്ലെങ്കിൽവിവിധ വർണ്ണങ്ങളിലുള്ള ചാർട്ട്  പേപ്പറുകളോ 3 മില്ലി മീറ്റർ അഥവാ 5മില്ലി മീറ്റർ സ്റ്റ്രിപ്പുകളായി  മുറിച്ചു  എടുത്തു അതിൽ നിന്ന് വേണ്ടുന്ന ഷൈപ്പുകൾ  ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.

പൂവുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന വിധം

വെള്ള കാർഡ് സ്റ്റോക്ക് പേപ്പറിൽ ചിത്രം B യിൽ കാണുന്നത് പോലെ പേപ്പർ തണ്ടുകളും ഇലകളും ഗ്ലൂ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഒട്ടിച്ചു വയ്ക്കുക. ഇലയ്ക്കും തണ്ടിനും പച്ചയുടെ തന്നെ വേറെ വേറെ ഷൈഡുകൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാൽ വളരെ നല്ലത്.

ഇലയുണ്ടാക്കുന്നതിനായി, രണ്ട് പേപ്പർ സ്റ്റ്രിപ്പുകളുടെ അറ്റങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ യോജിപ്പിച്ച് നീളത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു പേപ്പർ സ്റ്റ്രിപ്പാക്കുക. അതിനെ ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് ടൂളിൽ വച്ച് ചുറ്റിയെടുത്തു, അല്പം ലൂസാക്കിയ ശേഷം അറ്റം ഗ്ലൂ ചെയ്യുക. ഇതാണ് ലൂസ് കോയിൽ. ഇത്തരത്തിൽ ഇലകൾക്ക് ആവശ്യമായത്രയും ലൂസ് കോയിൽസ് പച്ച ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് പേപ്പറിൽ നിന്ന് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുക്കുക. ഒരു ലൂസ് കോയിൽ എടുത്ത്, അതിന്റെ 1 അറ്റത്ത്‌ തള്ള വിരലും ചൂണ്ടു വിരലും കൊണ്ട് പിടിച്ചു ചെറുതായി ഒന്ന് അമർത്തുക. ഒരു ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പു കിട്ടും. ഇത്തരത്തിൽ എല്ലാ പച്ച ലൂസ് കോയിൽസിൽ നിന്നും നീളമുള്ള ടീയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പുകൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കി എടുക്കുക. ഓരോ ടീയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പിന്റെയും മുകളറ്റം കൈ കൊണ്ട് ഷൈപ്പു ചെയ്തു ചെറുതായി വളച്ചു വയ്ക്കുക. ഇലകൾ റെഡിയായി. ഇവയെ ചിത്രം B യിൽ കാണുന്നത് പോലെ പച്ച പേപ്പർ തണ്ടുകളുടെ താഴത്തെ അറ്റങ്ങൾ കൂടി ചേരുന്ന ഭാഗത്ത്‌ ഒട്ടിച്ചു വയ്ക്കുക.

പൂവുണ്ടാക്കുന്നതിനായി, ഇഷ്ട്ടമുള്ള നിറത്തിലുള്ള 1 പേപ്പർ സ്ട്രിപ്പ് ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് ടൂളിൽ വച്ച് റ്റൈറ്റ് ആയി ചുറ്റിയെടുത്തു  അറ്റം ഗ്ലൂ ചെയ്യുക . ഇത്തരത്തിൽ ആവശ്യമായത്രയും റ്റൈറ്റ് കോയില്സ് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുത്ത് ( ഞാൻ ഈ പൂവിനു വേണ്ടി വയലറ്റ് പേപ്പറിൽ 5 റ്റൈറ്റ് കോയില്സ് ആണുണ്ടാക്കിയത്) ചിത്രം B യിൽ കാണുന്ന പോലെ, അവയെ പച്ച പേപ്പർ തണ്ടുകൾക്ക് മുകളിലായി ഗ്ലൂ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഒട്ടിച്ചു വയ്ക്കുക.

 

ഇനി പൂവിന്റെ ഇതളുകൾക്കായി മറ്റൊരു നിറത്തിലുള്ള പേപ്പർ സ്ട്രിപ്പ് ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് ടൂളിൽ വച്ച് ലൂസ് ആയി ചുറ്റിയെടുത്തു, അറ്റം ഗ്ലൂ ചെയ്യുക. ഇത്തരത്തിൽ ആവശ്യമായത്രയും ലൂസ് കോയില്സ് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുക്കുക. (ഞാൻ ഈ പൂവിനു വേണ്ടി മഞ്ഞ പേപ്പറിൽ 6 ലൂസ് കോയില്സ് ആണുണ്ടാക്കിയത്) ഇനി അവയിൽ നിന്ന് ടീയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പുകൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കി, വയലറ്റ് പേപ്പർ വട്ടത്തിന് ഇരു വശത്തുമായി ചിത്രം F, G എന്നിവയിൽ കാണുന്നത് പോലെ ഒട്ടിച്ചു വയ്ക്കുക. ഇനി ഇതിനെ ഭംഗിയായി ഫ്രൈം ചെയ്തു വയ്ക്കാം. Paper Quilling - Tulip 

ആവശ്യമുള്ള സാധനങ്ങൾ

1. പച്ച നിറത്തിലുള്ള ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് പേപ്പറുകൾ
2. പൂവിനായി ഇഷ്ട്ടമുള്ള 2, 3 നിറത്തിലുള്ള ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് പേപ്പറുകൾ
3. ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് ടൂൾ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ടൂത്ത് പിക്ക്
4. പേപ്പർ ഗ്ലൂ

ഫാൻസി ഷോപ്പുകളിൽ നിന്ന് ലഭിക്കുന്ന ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് പേപ്പറുകളോ (Quilling Papers) പത്രമാസികകളിലെ പേപ്പർ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വിവിധ വർണ്ണങ്ങളിലുള്ള ചാർട്ട് പേപ്പറുകളോ 3മില്ലി മീറ്റർ അഥവാ 5 മില്ലി മീറ്റർ സ്റ്റ്രിപ്പുകളായി മുറിച്ചു എടുത്തു അതിൽ നിന്ന്വേണ്ടുന്ന ഷൈപ്പുകൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.

ടുലിപ് പൂവുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന വിധം

സ്റ്റെപ് 1 

പൂവിന്റെ ഇതൾ ബൈസിന് വേണ്ടുന്നത് ( ചിത്രം A നോക്കുക )

ഒരേനിറത്തിലുള്ള 4 പേപ്പർ സ്റ്റ്രിപ്പുകളുടെ  അറ്റങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ യോജിപ്പിച്ച് നീളത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു പേപ്പർ സ്റ്റ്രിപ്പാക്കുക.  ഒരു പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക്‌ ബോട്ടിൽ ലിഡ്( 3 ഇഞ്ച്‌ വട്ടത്തിൽ ഉള്ളത്) ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ചിത്രം B യിൽ കാണുന്ന പോലെ പേപ്പർ സ്ട്രിപ്പ് അടപ്പിൽ കൂടെ ചുറ്റിയെടുക്കുക.

 

ഓരോ തവണ ചുറ്റുമ്പോഴും പേപ്പറുകൾ തമ്മിൽ ഗ്ലു ചെയ്തു വയ്ക്കുക. അറ്റം ഗ്ലു  ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഒട്ടിച്ച ശേഷം (ചിത്രം C) പേപ്പർ റൌണ്ടിനെ പതിയെ അടപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് മാറ്റുക.  അല്പ്പം  കട്ടിയ്ക്കുള്ള  പേപ്പർ വട്ടം റെഡിയായി.  (ചിത്രം D).  അതിന്റെ 1 അറ്റത് തള്ള വിരലും ചൂണ്ടു വിരലും കൊണ്ട് പിടിച്ചു ചെറുതായി ഒന്ന് അമർത്തുക. ചിത്രം E യിൽ കാണുന്ന പോലെ ഒരു ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പു കിട്ടും. 2 ടുലിപ് പൂക്കൾ ആണ് ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത് എങ്കിൽ ഇത്തരത്തിൽ 6 ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പുകൾ   ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുക്കുക.

സ്റ്റെപ് 2 - ഇതളുകൾ ഫിൽ ചെയ്യുന്ന വിധം

ഇഷ്ട്ടമുള്ള നിറത്തിലുള്ള 1 പേപ്പർ സ്ട്രിപ്പ് ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് ടൂളിൽ വച്ച് ചുറ്റിയെടുത്തു (ചിത്രം F ), അല്പം ലൂസാക്കിയ ശേഷം അറ്റം ഗ്ലൂ ചെയ്യുക (ചിത്രം G ).ഇത്തരത്തിൽ എല്ലാ ഇതളുകളും ഫിൽ ചെയ്യാനാവശ്യമായത്രയും ലൂസ് കോയില്സ് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുത്ത് ചിത്രം H ൽ കാണുന്ന പോലെ ഇതൾ ബൈസിൽ ഗ്ലൂ ചെയ്തു വയ്ക്കുക.

സ്റ്റെപ് 3 - ടുലിപ് പൂക്കൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നത് 

ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഷൈപ്പിലുള്ള രണ്ടു ഇതളുകളുടെ വശങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ ഒട്ടിച്ച ശേഷം (ചിത്രം I) ഒരു ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഇതൾ 2 ഇതളുകൾക്ക്‌ മുകളിൽ നടുക്കായി വരുന്ന രീതിയിൽ ക്രമീകരിക്കുക. അടിയിലുള്ള ടിയർ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ഇതളുകളുടെ മുകളറ്റം ചിത്രം J യിൽ കാണുന്ന പോലെ ഇടത്തേക്കും വലത്തേക്കും അല്പ്പം ചരിഞ്ഞു വരുന്ന  രീതിയിൽ വിരലുകൾ കൊണ്ട് ഷൈപ്പു ചെയ്തു വയ്ക്കുക.

ഇനി പച്ച ക്യ്വല്ലിംഗ് പേപ്പറുകൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് തണ്ടുകളും ഇലകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി ഒട്ടിച്ചു വച്ച് ഭംഗിയാക്കി ഫ്രൈം ചെയ്തു വയ്ക്കാം  ( ചിത്രങ്ങൾ K, L, M, N എന്നിവ നോക്കുക). ചിത്രത്തിൽ കാണുന്ന പോലെ ഇലയ്ക്കും തണ്ടിനും പച്ചയുടെ തന്നെ വേറെ വേറെ ഷേഡുകൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാൽ വളരെ നല്ലത്.

Multicolor Paper Woven Earrings

These are super light weight quilled earrings woven from  light  blue, pale green, orange and yellow color paper strips.

Quilling Paper Strips in desired colors – 4  ( I used 4 different color paper Strips )

Gold plated brass French hook or fishhook earwires / Gold Plated Fish Hook Earwires w/ Coil & Ball – 2

Desired color medium sized beads – 2

 

WORK IN PROGRESS:

This Boondoggling Boondoggle Paper Weaving Earrings are coated with varnish or clear color nail polish for protection against moisture and sweat, though it is not water proof.

Eco-Friendly Paper Jewelry Care :

Paper jewelry is water resistant, however it is advised to keep them safe from water. 

They are not waterproof  jewelries. So take care not to use them while under rain, or in the pool.

Handle  paper jewelries with care. An accidental fall on to a hard surface may damage your piece.

If your Paper Jewelry got dirty, gently wipe it with a clean and soft cloth.

If, by chance, paper jewelry becomes completely wet, simply place it in a safe, flat area to dry. Don’t try to dry them with paper towel or toilet tissue.

While strong, the paper can be punctured, stretched, and
slightly affected by major changes in humidity levels.

Do not store paper jewelry in a damp place, like bathroom.

Don't jumble paper jewelry pieces in a drawer or jewelry case. Pieces can scratch each other. Keep them separate from other (non-paper) jewelries.  

Keep paper jewelries in a box with compartments and dividers, or wrap each pair individually in soft tissue papers.

Wipe your paper jewelry with a soft cloth or paper towel  before storing them after use.

• 4mm daisy Spacer Beads – 2 nos.
• 4mm flower shaped  Spacer Beads – 2 nos.
• Gold plated flat cable chain – 2 inch piece
• Craft glue

Tools Needed:

• Wire Cutter
• Round Nose Pliers
• Flat Nose Pliers
• Quilling needle or tool

METHOD:

Step 1:

Insert 2 paper strips together  in a slotted needle.

Step 2:

Keep quilling to make a tight coil. Glue the end so that the coil is secure.  Now your ear stud base is ready.

Step 3:

Apply a coat of fabric glue on both sides of the ear stud base. Allow it to dry.

Step 4:

Then insert a paper quilling strip in a slotted needle. Keep quilling till you make a tight coil of the desired size . You have to glue together the paper strips ends  before quilling the coil  so that the coil is secure.

Step 5:

Once done, glue the end of the paper and let it dry.

Step 6:

Slide and remove the coil from the slotted tool, Then  gently push the center end of the rolled paper upwards in such a way that it brings out a conical shape. Now with the help of the needle tool and your fingers, set the shape (cup shape ) properly. Make sure there is some room in the cone's tip, to insert the eye-pin.

Step 7:

Apply a small amount of fabric glue on the inside of the cup shape and the outside. Allow it to dry. The structure will be secure now.

Step 8:

You can apply  clear color nail polish in the cup shape and ear stud base, that will give a glossy shine.

Step 9:

Now place one 4mm flower shaped  Spacer Bead on top of the cup or cone shaped paper Jhumka base and   insert the eye-pin on the center of the  flower shaped  Spacer Bead to the  narrow hole of the Jhumka, in such a way that the `eye' sits inside of the cone, and bend the pin's other end from the top of the cone to steady it.

Step 10 :

Using round nose pliers make a loop at the top. Use wire cutters to trim off any excess wire after making the loop. Before you close the loop, you can insert a small piece of Gold plated flat cable chain in the loop then close the loop well.

Step 11:

Apply some glue at the end of the cup shape and arrange Black round-cut clear cubic zirconia stones there. Your Jhumka  is ready. Keep it aside.

Step 12:

Take the paper stud base and Glue a 4mm daisy Spacer Bead on a at the center of the small  coil and glue a Black round-cut clear cubic zirconia stone at the center of the daisy spacer bead. Now your ear stud is ready.

Step 13:

Then  apply glue on an  earring post and attach the small coil’s back end to the earring post. It has to hold on well… allow it to dry completely.

Step 14:

Now insert the other end of Gold plated flat cable chain (one end is attached with the cup shaped paper Jhumka ) in the ear stud post. Advantage of this method of Jhumka making is, you can wear stud alone if you wish or both the stud and hangings together as traditional Jhumkis.  (Separating and joining together  the ear stud and hanging is easy according to your occasions and dresses).  

Step 15:

Repeat steps above for the other earrings piece and make your pair of quilling jhumka earrings.

Paper quilling is really economical. Quilling is very easy to learn and doesn't require large investment in specialized tools. To start, all you need are paper strips, a toothpick or corsage pin and craft glue.

 

Quilling is not  a difficult craft, but it can take a little practice to get the tension right. So let's practice

Flowers and plants are always favorite themes with quillers.

Quilling is very easy to learn and doesn’t require large investment in specialized tools. To start  all you need are paper strips, a toothpick or corsage pin and craft glue.

You can either buy a quilling tool or improvise by using a long needle or any thin piece of metal. Quick drying glue is advisable and preferably in a fine tip container. Another useful tool is the circle template board; you can improvise by using push pins to make uniform sizes of circles.

Paper quilling is an extraordinary paper craft because not only is it very simple to learn and make, it is also an art that is beneficial to our mind, body and heart, regardless of age or gender.
