Anchovies Fish Masala 1


INGREDIENTS:
  • Nethili fish                          - 2 cup
  •  Onion                                - 2 nos
  • Ginger garlic paste              - 1 tbsp
  • Oil                                      - 3 tbsp
  • Tomato                               - 1 nos
  • Turmeric powder                - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilly powder               - 1 tbsp
  • Pepper powder                  - 1/4 tbsp
  • Chopped Coriander leaves (optional) - 2 tbsp 
  • Salt to taste    
METHOD:
  • Wash and clean the fish. Mix it along with turmeric powder,red chilly powder, pepper powder and allow it to marinate for 15 to 30 mins.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish. Don't crowd the pan with more fish. Fry it till it become brown color.Remove it from heat and keep it aside.
  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add chopped onion and fry to translucent.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, chopped tomato and fry until done.
  • Add a pinch of turmeric powder, enough salt, 1/4 tsp of red chilly powder and 1/4 of pepper powder.
  • Mix well. Allow to cook by adding ½ cup water.Allow to form a thick gravy.
  • Now add fried fish, combine well and cook it covered in the masala.
  • Stir it gently by drizzling oil to the sides.
  • Once the fish absorbs all the curry to it, and turns thick consistency, turn off the flame.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
