Lettuce Thoran

INGREDIENTS:
  • Lettuce - 1bunch
  • Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp
  • Urad dal  -1/4 tsp
  • Channa dal -1/4 tsp
  • Onion (chopped)- 1 no
  • Green chillies  (sliced)-1 or 2 (according to taste)
  • Salt- to taste
  • Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Coconut-1 tbsp(optional)
METHOD:
  • Wash and chop lettuce.
  • Heat oil in pan and season with mustard, urad dal and channa dal.
  • Add chopped onion, garlic paste, green chilli and salt and saute well.
  • Add chopped lettuce, coconut and saute just for a minute or two.(do not cook more as it will get soggy and wont have crunchy taste.)
  • You can serve Lettuce Thoran with rice item as side dish.
