Easy Oats Biscuits

Easy Oats Biscuits  (1)

INGREDIENTS

  • All purpose flour – 1 cup
  • Oats – 1 cup
  • Baking powder –  1/2  tsp
  • Sugar – 3 or 4 Tbsp ( you can use brown sugar also)
  • Milk – 1/4 cup
  • Warm water – 1/4 cup
  • Oil – 3 Tbsp

METHOD:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
  • Line a large rectangular baking tray with parchment paper. Keep it aside.
  • Place all purpose flour , oats, baking powder, and sugar in a large mixing bowl and mix well.
  • Make a well in the center  of dry ingredients add milk and mix well. While mixing,apply little oil in your hand to prevent sticking dough in your hand.
  • Add 2, or 3 Tbsp of water if necessary . The dough must be little bit thinner than chapathi dough consistency.
  • Turn out the dough onto lightly floured surface  and knead 5 to 8 times.
  • Roll out the dough to one  inch thickness and press down firmly from the top of each rolled dough with your palm to flatten it little bit.
  • Place each of them 2” apart in baking  tray.
  • Bake them  for 20 minutes or or until the tops of the biscuits  look set and are just starting to turn golden brown.
  • Let your crispy oats Biscuits to cool on the baking  tray for 2 or 3 minutes until they can be transferred easy to racks. If you want , you can brush top of each biscuits with butter.
  • Serve Homemade Oats Biscuits with Tea or Coffee.
